Charles Schwab does an interesting study each year on Americans’ perspective on what they consider to be wealthy in 2024. You can find the full report here but I’m posting a few key takeaways.
Here is what Americans think they need to both be considered “wealthy” and “comfortable” –

As you can imagine the perception also depends on where you live and whether it is a High Cost of Living (HCOL) area or a Low Cost of Living (LCOL) area.

Again, these are just “perceptions”, but it can serve to give you an idea of how your net worth compares.
